This Site Specific Safe Operating Procedure (SOP) is an addendum to the Bond Freeze Ltd Safety Statement 2020 & Risk Assessment and has been produced to detail management arrangements to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our workforce, minimise the risk of spreading coronavirus and ensure a minimum standard across all work procedures during the coronavirus outbreak. This SOP has been developed based on the Government’s current recommendations considering social distancing and the current guidelines. The health and safety requirements of all work activities must not be compromised. If an activity cannot be undertaken safely due to a lack of suitably qualified personnel being available or social distancing being implemented, it should not take place. This document is to be shared with our employees, supply chain partners and visitors prior to them attending site, as it has been developed to protect them, their colleagues and their families. Project Managers and Supervisors should remind the workforce at every opportunity of these Site Operating Procedures.
When travelling to your workplace you will need to observe the social distancing guidance whilst you are travelling, as far as is practical. Social distancing means staying 2 metres (6ft) apart from other people. Wherever possible all persons attending site should travel alone using their own transport, if there is no option but to share a vehicle with people who are not part of the same household:
For those travelling by car/van/motorbike parking is available at Bond Road Carpark.
If travelling by bicycle secure storage is available at the Assembly point opposite the
entrance door of the warehouse.
Additional hand cleaning facilities / sanitiser at the entrance and exit, all persons arriving and leaving site must exercise good hygiene and use this facility.
The following additional measures have been introduced on site: -
Hand washing facilities are provided within the staff welfare facilities. All personnel must wash their hands before entering or leaving the warehouse storage area. Only one person at a time is permitted on the old lobby visitors toilets. A lock has been placed on the main door to enforce this new rule.

If a worker develops a high temperature or a persistent cough while at work, they will be required to:
Anyone who meets one of the following criteria must not attend the Bond Freeze Warehouse: -
Where possible everyone is to follow social distancing and stay 2 metres (6ft) apart from other people. Where it is not possible to follow the social distancing guidelines in full in relation to a particular activity, consideration should be given to whether that activity needs to continue and, if so, take all the mitigating actions possible to reduce the risk of transmission. If working within 2 metres from another person, a our company Permit To Work is required, additionally operatives are required to wear; appropriate face mask, disposable coveralls, goggles or full-face shield and surgical gloves (in addition to freezer work gloves). The above PPE is a minimum standard and should be enhanced were required following risk assessment. All operatives using this PPE must be trained in this use, have been face fit tested and have suitable arrangements in place for the safe disposable of this equipment. Work should be planned to minimise contact between workers and avoid face-to-face contact. Where face-to-face contact is essential, this should be kept to 15 minutes or less wherever possible.
Bond Freeze has carried out a risk assessments and these procedures, and the government and HSE guidance on Covid-19 controls must be communicated to all. The Risk Assessments will be reviewed daily and updated as new controls are necessary: they should include social distancing measures and the segregation between workers occupying the same area of facility, briefings are to be carried as per Section 11.0. During the completion of all activities onsite, social distancing measures were possible should be adhered to at all times. This includes physical work procedures activities and works, site meetings and the use of welfare facilities etc. There will be situations where it is not possible or safe for workers to distance themselves from each other by 2 metres, this must be fully demonstrated through risk assessment.
